Sexy Saints For Sale! is an ongoing multimedia project which transforms the characters of Biblical canon into action figures. By depicting them in extremely muscular physiques and turning them into usable objects, the project calls attention to the ways that commercial objects can spread rhetoric about gender, sexuality, and body politics.
While a figure for Jesus Christ is currently being developed, there are plans to create figures for various other Apostles and saints throughout history. These sexualized holy figures will shine a new light on the concept of sainthood and argue for a queered understanding of Christian values.

This project was to be exhibited in its first iteration at the Kansas City Art Institute’s 2020 Annual BFA Exhibition, with the first completed figure of Jesus Christ being shown in a simulated retail space installed at the Artspace gallery. However, community lockdowns due to COVID-19 cancelled the display of this project for the foreseeable future.
