The Consent Game is a multiplayer experience which discusses issues of consent. Each user has control over a soundboard which generates meme sound bytes and pushes each hand closer together at varying speeds. However, each user also has access to a "NO" button, which completely resets the hands' positioning when pressed by any participant. Given how long it takes for the hands to connect, this action will generally frustrate other users and push them to play more aggressively in order to see the piece's outcome. In doing so, they have assumed the role of an aggressor in violating other users' boundaries, leaving them open to recognize and reflect on that behavior.

This prototype was created as an exercise to teach myself how to use MAX/MSP/Jitter. Below you can see the patcher that was built to make the piece.
